World Sexual Health Day..

"Everyone wants it(or doesn't), but nobody talks about it!" - SEX.

These words resonate with a reality many cultures around the world face.
Sex still remains a sensitive and largely ignored topic in many countries.

It highlights a critical issue: the urgent need for comprehensive sexual education.
Sexual education is a vital tool for promoting healthy sexual behaviours and relationships. The absence of formal sex education has led many individuals to rely on pornography and their own experimentation to learn about sex. However, this approach is far from ideal and often perpetuates unrealistic expectations and misunderstandings.

One essential aspect of sexual health is consent. Consent should never be taken for granted; it must be freely and explicitly given by all parties involved.
Open conversations about consent help create a safe and comfortable environment for all sexual experiences, ensuring both partners are on the same page.

Many people are also unaware that a woman can get pregnant without experiencing an orgasm. It could so happen that a woman who has birthed children has never experienced an orgasm and it is not fair. It is important that both partners understand each other and their pleasure points, quite literally!
It's important to acknowledge that not everyone has the same level of desire or appetite for sex. Women, in particular, may have different sexual urges than men and it is essential that the partners address this together.

While sex plays a significant role in romantic relationships, it should never be the sole focus. Healthy relationships thrive on communication, emotional intimacy and trust.
It's essential for couples to openly discuss their sexual desires, boundaries and concerns to create a well-rounded and fulfilling partnership.

On this World Sexual Health Day, it's imperative that we break the silence surrounding sex and take proactive steps toward sexual education, consent and open communication.
Let's strive for a society where every individual has access to comprehensive sexual education and feels comfortable discussing their desires, boundaries and concerns.

If you have questions or need guidance regarding sexual health, remember that professionals are here to help.
